Police investigations are continuing following an suspected arson at Scott Pallets, Heltor Business Park, Heathfield.

The fire, which involved a large quantity of pallets measuring approximately 20m x 30m, was started early on Friday.

Fire crews evacuated 20 people from a nearby housing estate after the blaze broke out shortly after 2am.

Teignbridge Council's out of hours housing department was called to assist with the evacuees.

A 50m exclusion zone was set up while eight fire crews tackled the incident from ten fire appliances.
