TEIGNMOUTH’S Alice Cross Centre will be hosting their version of The Great Sport Relief Bake Off on Saturday, March 12.
It will be a light-hearted, fun affair with prizes for all, with the aim of raising funds for Sport Relief.
There will be two main classes, one for under 16s and the other for adults. Entry forms can be obtained through the website thealicecross.co.uk or at the centre.
It will run from 11.30am to 2pm, with judging starting at 1pm. Homemade snacks, cakes and refreshments, baked by the centre’s team of volunteers, will be available throughout the event to help raise funds for the day.
Ruth McLeod, Comic Relief international grants assessor, will be giving a brief talk on the work and funding of the charity.
Julia Street, centre manager, said: ‘I am very happy to be holding a bake-off. It reflects the community spirit our staff and volunteers have in supporting other charities, and is good to know that funding also goes to helping older citizen’s in our community.’
