SIX Teignmouth bankers jogged around The Den in freezing conditions all for a good cause.

The intrepid runners were on a mission to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society on Saturday, and Jonathan Lewis, manager of Lloyds TSB, said the weather was bitterly cold.

But all stayed the course and ran as many laps as they could in an hour-and-a-half.

'The wind was biting, and I could not feel my hands after a very short time because I had forgotten my gloves,' he said.
