Three youngsters from Bovey Tracey have won a competition to have their drawings turned into banners which will be put up around the town for the 750th Charter Celebrations in July.

Bovey Tracey organised the Design A Banner contest and representatives from the Devon Guild of Craftsmen selected Joshua Barnett, Amy Lawton and Jasmine Brina the winners.

More than 350 entries were received.

The winning designs will adorn lampposts.

Five runners-up will also have their pictures turned into banners and placed around the roundabout at Station Road.

Joshua, Amy and Jasmine are pictured with Erica Steer, from the Devon Guild of Craftsmen, Ian Merrett (incoming portreeve) and Cllr Avril Kerswell.
