WET weather did nothing to dampen the festive spirit at Newton Abbot’s dog-friendly carol service.
The Rev Gareth Regan led the Christmas carol service, which was in association with the Anglian churches of Newton Abbot, and was held in aid of Animals in Distress.
Newton Abbot Town Development Manager Sally Henley said: ‘There were some truly wonderful Christmas outfits and some utterly adorable doggies of all shapes and sizes.
The slight drizzle did not put people off and I was very impressed by some excellent behaviour – and from the doggies too!
‘A huge thank you to all who helped to make this first dog-friendly carol service such a success
‘We look forward to having another next year!’
