WHEELBARROW racing is making a return to Newton Abbot tomorrow afternoon as part of the town’s carnival celebrations.

Racers will be whizzing around Courtenay Park trying to raise as much cash as possible for their chosen charities.

The event, organised by the Rotary Club, will be one of many activities taking place in the park.

Other spectacles include owl displays, fairground rides, balloon modelling, stalls and lots of live performances.

Festivities kick off from noon with the wheelbarrow race setting off at 1pm.
