TWO acts who will be performing in Teignbridge this year are preparing for one of the biggest nights of their lives.
Coldplay and Ellie Goulding, who will both be performing at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in May, will be heading to the Brit Awards tonight, hoping to take home some accolades.
Four-piece band Coldplay, responsible for hits like Viva La Vida and Fix You, are hoping to make history tonight by winning the best British band for the fourth time.
The band, whose frontman Chris Martin is from Exeter, are also in the British Album category which they have won three times and this year they will be up against Adele.
Ellie Goulding will have her eyes set on two awards tonight.
The Best British Single with Capital and British Artist Video of the Year, both for her smash-hit song Love Me Like You Do, which featured in Fifty Shades of Grey.
Coldplay will also be performing live at tonight’s glitzy affair which is live on ITV1 from 8pm.
