THREE more chart-topping musical acts have been named as playing alongside Kaiser Chiefs, Ministry Of Sound Orchestra and Razorlight at the newly-named Nature Valley Gone Wild Festival at Powderham Castle this summer

Pop Legend Melanie C, pop-rock band Scouting for Girls and electronic dance band Morcheeba are now on the bill to play at the Bear Grylls’ family-friendly festival over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Having co-written 11 UK number ones Melanie C more than any other female artist in chart history she remains the only female performer to top the charts as a solo artist, as part of a duo, quartet and quintet.?

With Bear Grylls being the scouting movements’ Chief Scout there was one must-have band for the lineup - the aptly named, Scouting For Girls. With eight top 40 singles, sales of over 2,000,000 records and over 500m streams to their name, fans will love the chance to see them live.

Festival-goers will also get the chance to dance along with Morcheeba on the chilled out Sunday afternoon. Their mix of electronic hip hop, rock and folk should be the perfect accompaniment to a great weekend.

And younger guests won’t be left out, as CBBC favourites Andy and The Odd Socks and Dick and Dom will also take to the stage during the bank holiday weekend. ?What sets this festival apart from the others is that, as well as a stellar music programme, there are a whole host of exciting activities for the whole family to get involved in.

Festival-goers can get inspired by world-famous explorers and adventurers, who will be giving talks and leading activities. Newly added to the line-up of explorers are Sky News presenter and ex- SAS soldier, Phil Campion who will be running SAS Airsoft and wildlife conservationist and filmmaker James Glancy who will be offering wildlife filming workshops.

They will also be joined by TV broadcaster and marine biologist, Monty Halls, world record-breaking explorer and endurance athlete George Bullard and Jasmine Harrison, the youngest female to have rowed the Atlantic. Big wave surfer Andrew Cotton, fitness expert Andrew Blake and Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist “Magic Marine’’ James Stott complete the line-up.
