NEARLY 200 people completed a 15 mile route at Chudleigh's Beating of the Bounds on Saturday.

The group, which was split into two, walked round the boundaries of the parish and started in the town centre.

'We do this every seven years, so the next one will be in 2019,' said Alan Brunton, Chudleigh Beating of the Bounds committee member.

'The event has a steeped history in the town. The records we have show that it took place in the late 1800s.'
