A BENCH has been installed at Oakford Lawn, Kingsteignton, in memory of one of the founder members of the trust which secured the popular park for the community.
Dedicated GP Dr Adrian Almond, who died in May last year, oversaw the purchase of Oakford Lawn from Devon County Council, preserving it for future generations.
Dr Almond's family, along with the village trust which runs the park and the town council, decided a bench was a fitting memorial to the popular 'ambassador' for the town.
The oak bench was installed on Monday, the anniversary of Dr Almond's death.
