NEWTON'S nightlife is set to get a new lease of life, after the owners of local bar and club Bar 7 announced that they had bought the famous Jolly Abbot pub on East Street.
Owners Frankie and Ginge also announced that they had some 'exciting plans' concerning the pub's renovation and future.
The announcement from Bar 7 read: 'We’ve been keeping a little secret but now we can share some really exciting news with all of you.
'Frankie and Ginge the owners of Bar 7 have found their next business/project. They have bought The Jolly Abbot in Newton Abbot.
'We are so excited to open and welcome you to The Abbot opening date is yet to be confirmed.'
