BRITISH electronica trio Years and Years treated the thousands of people at Powderham Castle to an exhilarating performance on Sunday.

It appears that the group enjoyed performing just as much as the crowds enjoyed watching them.

‘I had so much fun, it was amazing,’ said the band’s frontman Olly Alexander.

He admitted that he loves Exeter and would like to return again, having previously played at Exeter University.

But when quizzed about the release of new material he was a man of few words saying ‘you never know.’

He later admitted that the group have been pulling all of the elements together.

For those trying to break into the industry, Years and Years’ advice would be ‘to try and be creative and have fun rather than work about your end goal, whatever it may be.’
