THE derelict basement area of Bitton House at Teignmouth could be converted into a much-needed community area.

Cllr Paul Burgess told a finance and general purposes committee meeting on Tuesday that it could be used as starter units for young entrepreneurs, a community hub, or offices.
'This would help us to achieve aspirations that are part of our town plan, and also bring in an income.
