A JIGSAW and board-game cupboard has been officially opened at a community-led, Newton Abbot library.

With the slogan, 'Take a book, leave a book', Linda's Little Free Library is a community-led library located at 46 Primrose Drive, Newton Abbot.

Inspired by neighbour Pauline, the new jigsaw and board game cupboard, which was officially opened on Saturday, March 11, allows people to donate and swap board games.

Newton Abbot Community Interest Company, a community organisation that support activities and projects to improve the quality of life of those living and working in Newton Abbot, secured the funding for the project.

A contribution toward the project was also made by Cllr Mike Hocking from the Teignbridge Community Fund.

'Thank you all so much for your wonderful donations and support as always' said Linda of Linda's Little Free Library.

'A huge thank you to Emily of Newton Abbot Community Interest Company and Leah from LRS Designs, to Pauline for the inspiration & agreeing to run the jigsaw library, along with Claire - you are all greatly appreciated' she added.
