BOMB disposal experts were called to a multi-occupation property in Kingskerswell today after an ‘unexplained device’ was found inside.

The property, in Torquay Road, was evacuated while the Plymouth-based Royal Navy team examined the mysterious object.

A cordon has been thrown around the immediate area.

A police spokesman confirmed that the object at the centre of the scare had yet to be identified.

The area was still sealed off early this afternoon after the initial discovery at 10.30am.
