HI-FI systems, clocks and lamps were among many items repaired instead of rubbished or recycled at Buckland and Milber Community Centre on Saturday.

Transition Newton Abbot and Teign Energy Communities joined forces to breathe new life into residents’ old electrical items at the Recycle Devon Repair event.

Martin Ruder and Fuad Al-Tawil, members of the environmental groups, joined Glenn Tout, electronics fixer from Dawlish, and Alan Lewis, IT expert from Bovey Tracey, to fix the electrical items for free.
