A TEIGNMOUTH teenager has achieved one of the highest awards in the Girls' Brigade.

Katie Addicott, 17, was presented with the Brigadier Brooch by the mayor, Cllr June Green, during a ceremony at Teignmouth Baptist Church.

She is a young leader in the company and, during her eight years with the brigade, has gained all 20 badges.
