A BOVEY Tracey goldsmith has spoken of his pride at helping to create a £10,000-plus brooch the Queen was pictured wearing on Christmas Day.
Ian Hall, of Lasting Impressions, was asked by the British Jewellers' Association to handcraft the platinum framework for the Eternal Dove before another expert fitted diamonds and gold from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The brooch was designed by Ivonna Poplanska for the BJA's Diamond Jubilee competition which coincided with the group's 125th anniversary.
It was inspired by an existing Crown Jewel, the Sceptre with Dove, made for the Coronation of King Charles II in 1661.
