THREE parking spaces in Ashburton have gone on sale with a guide price of £20,000.

The town centre spaces, off East Street, are block-paved and all three are already under offer, according to the agents Howard Douglas.

Parking spaces in the town are at a premium so the chance to snap up a guaranteed space was expected to be popular.

The parcel of land is towards the upper end of East Street, next to the Golden Lion pub, although the current owner has not been disclosed.

Agents described the site as a ‘convenient position’.

The land is on a 999 year lease dated from March 1770.

Western Power Distribution have access over the land to an electricity sub-station although the current owner confirms the land has been used for more than 20 years for parking.

The spaces are being sold on a leasehold basis.
