A legal challenge to Teignbridge Council's 20-year Local Plan has failed to prevent the authority pressing ahead with a £2.6m road widening scheme at Decoy, Newton Abbot. It had been suggested the project should be deferred until the challenge had been heard in November. Critics were concerned that if the judge ruled in their favour there might no longr be an adopted planning policy ad that Teignbridge's investment in the road could be wasted.
