INCREASING housing development in Chudleigh brought with it a growing community and a requirement for a building to cope with their needs.

The warning came from resident Ray Frost at the town council's monthly meeting last week when he pointed out that recent months had seen the closure of the St John Ambulance Hall and the White Hart skittle alley.
