SHARP-EYED snapshooters are looking for new blood to join ­Newton Abbot Photographic Club which launches its new season on tomorrow (September 5) at the town’s ­Courtenay Centre from 7.30pm.

The Club has been active in the town for more 70 years and has a current membership of some 60 ­people.

A spokesman said: ‘The new ­season promises to be very ­interesting with a varied ­programme devised for ­photographers of all types and ­abilities.

‘We have a mix of prominent guest speakers, themed practical evenings, social events and both ­digital and print competitions.’

The spokesman added: ‘If anyone would like to improve their ­photography and meet like-minded people they can come and join us. New members are always welcome.’
