TEIGNBRIDGE Council is hesitating about handing over a small car park to Teignmouth Town Council because of problems when assets were transferred to Dawlish Town Council.
That was the message to Teignmouth councillors by their clerk, Dave Tickell, when he reported slow progress in acquiring the Douglas House car park.
Apparently Teignbridge is hesitating because the deal at Dawlish backfired, and the assets are being handed back.
But Cllr James McMurray was not happy with the delay, telling a Teignmouth council meeting on Tuesday that he would take it up with Teignbridge as a matter of urgency, because it had been dragging on far too long.
The town council believes it can improve the management of the car park for residents.
