A SPECIAL ‘Carols Down The Line’ train service is running tomorrow evening, December 7, from Buckfastleigh Station.
The South Devon Railway service includes a festive train trip, singing carols down the line, along with complimentary hot drinks and a mince pie.
Exeter Railway Band will be leading the carol singing as usual and Railway Mission calendars will be on sale.
The train departs from Buckfastleigh Station at 7pm, returning around 9.30pm.
South Devon Railway is also running Santa-by-Steam specials this weekend, next weekend, and then daily from December 18 to 24.
On the Santa trains refreshments are served by Santa’s helpers, entertainers are on board and Santa is in his grotto, with a present for every child.
On December 18 there’s a special Santa in the Dark evening train, which leaves Buckfastleigh at 5.45pm, for those who’d like to experience the magic of travelling by steam train at night.
From Boxing Day to New Year’s Day the SDR Mince Pie trains will take over and run every day.
