CAROLS on the Green is returning to Buckfastleigh’s Orchard Millennium Green, tomorrow, as part of the town’s annual Christmas Fair.

Ann Werry, one of the green’s trustees, said: ‘We’re very pleased to be staging this event and look forward to bringing another piece of Christmas cheer, by the community for the community.

‘We very much hope families will be able to join us for another peaceful evening of carol singing and readings – but don’t forget to bring a lantern or torch.

‘Some of our regular visitors might remember that during the second staging of the carol concert, the Rev Tom Benson who was leading the service, said in his introduction that because this has now happened more than once, that it must become a tradition. We would very much like to build on the success of what has been created so far and secure it a permanent place in the Buckfastleigh Christmas calendar.

‘The family-friendly carol event, now in its fourth year, gives families and visitors an opportunity to sing some classic Christmas carols together and welcome in the festive season in style.’

Carols on the Green will take place at 5.30pm. Admission is free.
