INVERTEIGN Community School, Teignmouth, has won praise for its wildlife area, created and nurtured by governors and parents. It gives pupils a chance to learn about the natural environment at first hand. A cheque for £300 has been given to the school by Devon County Council's Teignbridge County Committee, to help buy tools and equipment. Cllr David Cox, Devon county councillor for Teign Estuary, said: 'I've always been impressed by the dedication of the volunteers who look after the area, especially the pond created by Nigel Roberts, so it's great to be able to give them a small bit of financial support.'
