Chudleigh Town Council voted to accept the offer of £200,000 as a commuted sum from Cavanna at their meeting on September 4. The money is a lump sum payment for 10 years' maintenance of Millstream Meadows and Culver Green play parks, as well as community areas. There is a 12-month warranty period from the date of transfer, and there will be provisions for the completion of landscaping. 'I would like to thank everyone who has put so much work into this,' said council chairman Cllr Lorraine Evans. Chudleigh councillors will also be writing to thank Teignbridge council. The date for the formal handover of the play parks will be set at the next council meeting.
