An exhibition to bring Kingsteignton's 1,300 years of history to life at the weekend attracted some 200 people keen to learn more about the place they call home. It was organised by the year-old King's Teignton History Society, a nod to one of the settlement's former names which was also known as Teignton Regis. The event was held on Saturday at the United Reformed Church hall and, according to historian Richard Harris, the appetite among residents for more information about Kingsteignton's past has been whetted. 'I received many suggestions that the exhibition should have been held over two days as there were people who could not make the Saturday,' he told the Advertiser. 'We even had people come along after the exhibition had ended as they had only just bought your paper and noticed that it was on.' To help those unable to make Saturday's exhibition here is a selection of images that were on display.
