AN estimated £80,000 is needed to keep Buckfastleigh Swimming Pool's head above water, town councillors heard.

They have been told the ageing facility – built more than 100 years ago – needs a top up of TLC if it is to continue as a valuable community asset.

The bleak financial news came from Teignbridge Council experts.
