A SEVERE weather warning for the south west issued by the Met Office, forced the postponement of lifting the bridge beams into position for Newton Abbot's Penn Inn roundabout flyover on Wednesday evening and last night.

Galliford Try, the contractors of the South Devon Link Road, immediately called off the planned beam lifts for the remainder of this week for safety reasons.
