Dawlish firefighters swapped hoses for buckets on Saturday. They were taking part in a charity car wash. Leaving aside their helmets, firefighters (left to right) Kev Stanton, Simon Duke, Matt Herdman and Ian Woods soaked their sponges and brought a shine to several cars. They were raising money for the Fire Service Benevolent Fund but at the time of going to press, the amount they had collected was not known.
