A GLAMOUR offensive was unleashed on London when 22 dancing dames from Newton Abbot’s Danceworks waltzed up to the capital to audition for Britain’s Got Talent.

The terpsichorean troupe titillated judges at the ITV hit show’s Excel Centre where their routines attracted much attention from the cameras.

The Diamond Dolls acquitted themselves with their customary aplomb as they went through a number with a burlesque theme.

A spokesman for the glittering showgirls said afterwards: ‘They dressed in silver, red, white and blue – and they certainly stood out and attracted plenty of camera action.’

The sparkly participants now face an agonising wait to hear whether their exertions have propelled them through to the next round.
