THE WIND may have abated for now - but that’s not the end of Storm Ciara just yet.
Devon County Council have issued a new warning ahead of this evening’s high tides as the storm relentlessly continues to batter the county and the rest of the UK with wind and rain.
The council’s Highways and Emergency Planning team has warned to expect more heavy rain now setting in and to expect surface water, deep puddles and localised flooding and the high tides are expected to bring coastal surges
The council has been dealing with numerous of trees blocking minor and major roads since first thing this morning and Western Power is still attempting to restore power to homes throughout Devon without electricity.
