CYCLISTS from Teignbridge took a trip to Normandy for a weekend’s cycling around the region.
The group of 22 arrived in Cherbourg before heading off on a ride along the coast of the Cotentin peninsula to the attractive port of Barfleur where they took a break before heading the last few miles into St Vaast la Hougue.
The following day there was a tour along the Normandy beaches, stopping at Utah beach before riding back through Quetthou and through the Val de Saire back to Cherbourg.
The trip was one of the last events organised by the CTC group in 2015 which has been a successful year for the club. Hundreds of cyclists have taken part in various events and several hundred pounds has been raised for Rowcroft Hospice. Entries are now coming in for the Dartmoor Devil at the end of October, a 100km hill ride now in its 23rd year.
