BUCKFASTLEIGH'S Bungalow Youth Project faces extinction unless it has a round of luck with the begging bowl, it was revealed this week.

The Victoria Park facility, which needs £24,000 a year to keep going, could fizzle out by June next year if funding is not found quickly.

Jackie Holmes, chairman of the club's trustees, has issued an appeal for help from a community already dipping into its pockets to save the similarly-threatened outdoor swimming pool in the town.
