There has been no change in the Ambrook district seat where Independent Cllr Mary Colclough (1,367 votes) and Conservative Cllr Dennis Smith (1,187) were returned. Challenger Keith Smith, the third candidate and the only Liberal Democrat, scored 629 votes. The turnout was 51 per cent.
