TEIGNMOUTH students could soon be having lessons in the town hall.
The local community college and the town council are set to share historic Bitton House, pictured.
They are on the verge of signing a unique deal which will enable the college to expand its successful sixth form and help safeguard the future of the building.
It will mean even more community use of Bitton House, which is the home of the council, and also the venue for weddings, meetings of all kinds, mini-conferences and receptions.
The college will take over the first floor and also have the daytime use of the council chamber. No rental will be charged, but the college will pay for the cost of converting the accommodation.
