South Devon College officially opened its new professional recording studio at its campus in Paignton on Thursday.

Students from Teignbridge and Torbay are already making use of the state of the art equipment, including Samuel Kenny, 18, from Newton Abbot.

'I'm really blown away by the equipment we have to use on our course,' said Samuel, who is doing a creative digital media course.

'I really think we are so lucky to have this facility.

'I've been learning about the software and hardware, how to position mics and what microphones to use with what instruments.
