A BULB and tree planting event is coming to Newton Abbot.

On December 2, Newton Abbot Community Interest Company (CIC) are inviting the public to join them at the Buckland Centre at 9.30am for the first of many future events - a community bulb planting event on the morning of Friday, December 2.

Newton Abbot CIC was formed more than 10 years ago following completion of the Newton Abbot & District Community Plan in 2008.

The CIC is a social enterprise that seeks to improve the quality of life for all those living or working in Newton Abbot.

Newton Abbot CIC recently received some money from the Coop Local Community Fund to ‘green Buckland’ through bulb and tree planting; thr group are working with Glendinning Academy on the project.

Residents are invited to help with bulb planting around Sandringham Park and the Buckland estate.
