VISITORS to a Teignmouth community centre can now enjoy a glass of wine or a pint of beer with their meal or entertainment.

The Alice Cross centre has opened a new bar, and it was celebrated with a hot supper provided by chefs Colin and Joan Holloway, and a barn dance, with music by the Teigny Lastic Band.

The chairman, Richard Younger-Ross, thanked all those who supported the centre, which provides a meeting place for the over-50s, and has also had a lighting and decor makeover.
