MVV Environment Devonport, which failed to gain planning permission for a materials recycling facility and an incinerator bottom ash processing plant at Whitecleave Quarry, Buckfastleigh, is appealing against the decision.

In April by the odd vote in 11, Devon County Council's Development Management Committee threw out the application by MVV for the facility in the recycling operation run by Sam Gilpin Demolition Ltd.
