THE most westerly school in the country is linking up with a Teignmouth composer on a science song project.
David Haines will travel to Cape Cornwall Community College in St Just early next year to work with students on creating a new song from scratch about the history of telegraphy.
He is resident composer with the Teignmouth Science Festival, and six Teignbridge junior and secondary schools are also taking part.
'I get a great thrill from making creative connections, whether it's between people or ideas,' Mr Haines said.
'My passion for both science and music means it is the most natural thing in the world for me to write science songs, and my drive to help others learn means I get a huge kick out of bringing young people to work together on a project like this.'
