THE budget for Teignbridge looks set to remain static, with the executive proposing a freeze on council tax for the coming financial year.
Currently the annual budget stands at £15,132,000 and the executive intends to hold that figure for the second year.
Its proposals, to be discussed at the executive meeting on Wednesday recommend a freeze on council tax at the current rate of £150.17.
Members are looking for additional savings and income of £500,000, £600,000 and £800,000 during the next three years.
Teignbridge also plans to back businesses, including promoting tourism with a proposed infrastructure investment reserve aimed at kick starting housing and economic development. The plan is for this to have reached £1 million by the end of 2013.
