A HOMELESS man was jailed for eight weeks for breaking a non-molestation order and visiting a Newton Abbot beauty salon.
Ryan James Fellows, aged 42, of no fixed address, admitted he breached the non-molestation order.
The court said its reason for the sentence was: ‘Offence so serious because antecedent history, risk of harm high, history on non compliance with community orders, because the offence was aggravated by the defendant’s record of previous offending.’
Fellows admitted damaging a glass panel on a woman’s door to the value of £500. No separate penalty was imposed for this charge but a restraining order was made preventing him from making contact with the woman, visiting a beauty salon or visiting a named street in Newton Abbot. The order lasts until January 19, 2025.
He also admitted attending an address in Newton Abbot and damaging the property of a woman which he was prohibited from doing by a non-molestation order made by Torquay and Newton Abbot Family Court.
He was sentenced to 20 weeks in jail to run concurrently with the other sentence and must pay £154 to fund victim services.
