A NEWTON Abbot man has been ordered to pay £80 compensation after pleaded guilty to assault.
Martin Lawrence, 43, of no fixed abode, was charged with assaulting a man by beating on April 5 2022.
Magistrates imposed a community order along with the compensation.
Lawrence also pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive or disorderly behaviour on the same date for which the court issued no separate penalty.
He also admitted failing to surrender to custody in Surrey without reasonable excuse having been released on bail on criminal proceedings.
