A PEDESTRIAN has admitted voyeurism after a shocked mother saw him filming her naked teenaged daughter through a gap in her blinds.

Kristoffer Roberts of Newton Abbot was seen staring through the window of a bedroom at 6.30am while a 17-year-old girl was sleeping inside.

She was naked because of the hot weather at the time of the offence on August 12, 2020.

Roberts has also admitted two attacks on a woman who he assaulted and strangled in June this year.

He was remanded in custody by Judge Peter Johnson, who will sentence him in October after the probation service have prepared a report.

He told him: ‘These are serious matters and your expectation should be custody.’

Roberts, aged 28, previously of Drum Way, Heathfield, Newton Abbot, but now of Abelia Close, Paignton, admitted voyeurism, strangulation and battery.

Miss Felicity Payne, prosecuting, said a mother contacted police after seeing an unknown man looking through the window of her home.

She said: ‘Her 17-year-old daughter was sleeping naked in bed due to the hot weather and she was aware of somebody near the window. She saw a male taking photographs using a camera or phone.

‘The mother went into the room and saw a man pressed up against the window looking through a small gap in the blinds.

‘He was identified through CCTV footage from an address nearby.

‘When he was arrested, police found a baseball cap and rucksack that matched the footage.’

Mr Martin Salloway, defending, said the Judge would benefit from a probation report.

Roberts has previous convictions for both voyeurism and domestic violence, having admitted filming 660 women in ‘upskirting’ incidents in 2013 and assaulting his partner the following year.
