A TEAM of novice cyclists from Chudleigh have smashed their £800 target for a 103-mile sponsored ride from Ilfracombe to Plymouth.
The Cyclepaths, whose number swelled from four to ten, tackled the challenge on Saturday.
The core membership of Nick Webber, David Pebworth, Peter Turner and Phil Grimes had hoped to generate at least £800 for CLIC Sargent and the Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF).
With the help of friends and supporters they actually brought in £1,734.07 and will also make a donation to the Coppafeel breast cancer charity.
