FOR one Kingsteignton pensioner, the sight of Britain going for gold at the London 2012 Olympics brings back memories of the last London Games.

Keen cyclist Russell Stephens, 81, was among the spectators who watched the world's top cyclists compete for medals at the 1948 Olympics.

And, he cycled more than 200 miles from his south Devon home to be at the Herne Hill velodrome in south London.
