LAW graduate Daniel Steele, from Abbotskerswell, who is spearheading a social media campaign to find four missing sailors, believes they have 'every chance' now the rescue effort has been resumed.
The 21-year-old, whose girlfriend Zoe is the sister of 22-year-old sailor James Male, has been the driving force behind an online petition which prompted US coastguards to resume their search for the crew of the Cheeki Rafiki, thought to have capsized in the Atlantic.
Today he publicly thanked the thousands of people who are supporting the families of the crew and put their names to the petition.
Pressure from the UK government and more than 200,000 people signing Mr Steele's petition is understood to have been behind the U-turn.
