THE daughter of a 91-year-old dementia sufferer is devastated at news that Devon County Council may hand over care services to the private sector.
Sylvia Vosloo's mother Betty Morgan is among 35 residents living at the county council-run Tracey Vale home in Bovey Tracey.
Mrs Vosloo, from Chudleigh Knighton, fears the move could lead to the home's closure.
Devon County Council has launched a 45-day consultation involving families and residents on their views.
But Mrs Vosloo says the situation is unsettling for her and her family who have been impressed with the level of care at Tracey Vale.
